Government's WhatsApp 'Sandes' launched,
The National Informatics Center (IMC) has launched the indigenous version of WhatsApp 'Sandes' in India. It is an instant messaging app. Let us know that right now the officials of state and center use 'Government Instant Messaging System (GIMS)'. But now they will use the Sandes app. If you are worried about the privacy policy of WhatsApp then now your worry will be over. Sandes
app is available for both iOS and Android users. The phone must have Android
version 5.0 or above for this app. The iPhone should have iOS 12 or above.
Users can download the APK file of this app through the GIMS portal, the official
website of the government. This app is not currently available in the GooglePlay Store or Apple App Store.
After
downloading, users just have to sign-up with their mobile number or email ID.
After this, you will get a six-digit OTP. After this, you have to give the details
of gender. After this, the sign-up process will be completed. The best thing
about this app is that foreign apps will not be able to steal your privacy and
data. The app has been developed by NIC (National Informatics Center), which is
part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
