PM Modi Engages with Young Leaders on National Youth Day: A Step Towards Viksit Bharat


 On January 12, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated National Youth Day by engaging with over 3,000 young leaders at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. This event, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marked a significant initiative aimed at empowering the youth to participate actively in nation-building.

Importance of National Youth Day

 Commemorating Swami Vivekananda

National Youth Day is observed on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a revered figure who inspired generations with his teachings on self-reliance and social responsibility. PM Modi emphasized that the youth of India play a crucial role in realizing the vision of a developed nation by 2047.

 A Vision for Viksit Bharat

During the dialogue, Modi articulated his vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India), stating that the next 25 years, referred to as Amrit Kaal, are vital for the country’s growth. He expressed confidence that with the strength and creativity of India's youth, achieving this vision is not just possible but inevitable.

The event featured presentations from young leaders on various topics, including sustainable development and technological integration in agriculture. The Prime Minister spent over six hours interacting with participants, showcasing his commitment to listening to the ideas and aspirations of the youth.

  1. Sustainable Development: Young leaders presented innovative solutions for environmental sustainability.
  2. Technology in Agriculture: Discussions focused on how technology can enhance agricultural productivity.
  3. Manufacturing and Startups: Ideas were shared on making India a hub for manufacturing and entrepreneurship.

PM Modi's Encouragement to Youth

 Emphasizing Participation

Modi urged young leaders to step out of their comfort zones and take risks. He stated, "The comfort zone is a dangerous place to be in," encouraging them to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

 Educational Advancements

The Prime Minister highlighted significant advancements in India's educational landscape, noting that the country now boasts 23 IITs and an increase in medical colleges. He asserted that these developments are foundational for building a developed nation.
