 HENRI LA FONTAINE TIMELINE :

La Fontaine was born on 22 April  1854-  died in 1943 at the age of 89.  

Ø  1854 -: La Fontaine was born on 22 April.

Ø  1877 -: He registered as counsel with the Brussels Court of Appeal.

Ø  1878 -: He was elected secretary of a technical school for young women.

Ø  1893 -: La Fontaine was elected the chairman of international law.

Ø  1895 -: He represented Hainaut from 1895 to 1898 after elected to the senate.

Ø  1895 -: La Fontaine established the House of Documentation.

Ø  1897 -: La Fontaine proposed a bill on mine inspection in 1897.

Ø  1900 -: He represented Liege from 1900 to 1932 and Brabant from 1935 to 1936.

Ø  1907 -: He served as the secretary of the Senate from 1907 to 1919.

Ø  1907 -: He became the president of the International Peace Bureau.

Ø  1907 -: He founded the Union of International Association in Brussels and became the general-secretary. 

Ø  1919 -: He served the Senate as vice president from 1919 to 1921.

Ø  1919 -: He became a member of the Belgian delegation to the Paris Peace Conference.

Ø  1920 -: He was a delegate to the First Assembly of the League of Nations.

Ø  1921 -: La Fontaine became second vice-president in 1921 serving till1922.

Ø  1923 -: He turned into the principal VP in 1923 and served till 1932. 

Ø  1943 -: Henri La Fontaine passed away.
